Greg Karr has spent the past 20 years working out and studying the principles of weight training. When he got tired of following marketing hype, he decided to find out what training methods really worked for the human body. His goal was to achieve the ideal physique with the most efficient workout possible. He graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in biochemistry from UCLA. Then he spent a year working as a sports nutritionist and returned to UCLA to complete his Master’s degree in physiology.

The focus of Greg’s Master’s degree study was on muscle physiology with an underlying emphasis on neuroscience. Upon graduation, he received certifications from the National Strength & Conditioning Association as a Certified Personal Trainer and a Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist.

Greg has been involved with Static Contraction training for over 8 years now and has used the principles of static contraction with great success among his clients. He is known among his clients for his highly efficient workout programs designed to minimize workout time and maximize results.

Besides fitness, Greg’s other interests include snowboarding, recreational shooting and martial arts. As a practicing martial artist for over 16 years, he has experienced firsthand the benefits that Static Contraction training can provide to the martial artist.
