One of the most common questions I receive is: "What about my diet?"
As many of you know, Power Factor Training and Static Contraction Training
give basic, sound nutritional advice similar to what you might receive from the
American Heart Association or from a Registered Dietician. These training
systems offer research into innovative training...not into diet and nutrition.
But bodybuilders want more. They want to know the inside story on all the
supplements, nutrition, and diet strategies. My personal beef with nutritional
supplements has always been that it's really difficult to get the truth because
the "sources" always seem to have a financial interest in pushing a particular
supplement product. You know, "Wow. Research shows our new RammaBol really
works!"
Uh-huh.
What bodybuilders really need is a review of all the generic ingredients
contained in supplements and a fair investigation into how they work in the
"real world" ("real gym"?) And the person doing the review shouldn't have a
financial interest in any of the supplements. To find all that would be great!
Well, a few weeks ago I found it!! I discovered e-books by bodybuilding
writer, Will Brink. According to his website, "William Brink is a contributing
consultant, columnist, and writer for various health, bodybuilding, and medical
publications. He is a well-known trainer who has worked with many high-level
athletes ranging from professional bodybuilders, Pro golfers, and fitness
contestants to Olympic hammer throwers." Will has written for Muscle Media, Life
Extension Magazine, Muscle Mag International, Muscle & Fitness, Penthouse and
others….And Will does not sell supplements or work for a supplement
company!!
The thing I like about Will is that when something is just hype...HE SAYS
IT'S HYPE!
